Case: 1 - The Creating and Passing of H.R.1 into Law

The 111th Congress of the United States of America, with full democrat party support along with three republican senators and President Obama's signature, passed H.R.1 into law from the City of Washington on Tuesday, the sixth day of January, two thousand and nine.

SEC. 1604. INCREASE IN PUBLIC DEBT LIMIT.
Subsection (b) of section 3101 of title 31, United States Code, is amended by striking out the dollar limitation contained in such subsection and inserting ‘‘$12,104,000,000,000’’.

Mr. President, you signed this into law! Now you want to add an additional 5 to 9 trillion on top of this in your proposed budget!

As a young man, my Grandfather collected the 'Believe it or not' illustrations out of the 1930's newspaper and used them to teach himself how to bind books for a trade. This lead to the family owned business that sustained three generations from his simple idea.

He has been gone over ten years now. I find my self looking through these books, for not the crazy antics of what people did, but to read the back sides of the pages to see whom we were.
